Trying to Get Into Fitness & Health

A month is already passed of 2018 and you know what that means!(What?) People have already started giving up on their new year's resolutions...(Oh...) Google claims that only 8% of people actually keep their resolutions. Which is like, the ultimate "I'm not mad just disappointed." Well I'm happy to tell YOU that I haven't dropped any of my resolutions. I don't write any. My family never really did resolutions Once, my dad was like "let's all write resolutions this year!" And we still didn't.

And then I didn't accomplish anything. For me when I want to change something I start trying to integrate it into my life right away, rather than waiting until next week, or next year, or next LIFETIME for that fresh start. EVERY day is a Jaiden new year! *Party horn, kazoo, as well as that annoying spinny thing* Whew! As someone who doesn't write them, and probably isn't qualified to critique the art of new year's resolutions I'm gonna toss my opinion that no one asked for into the ring! I think the main contributors to those 92% failing goals are they're too unrealistic and they're too vauge. Let's stop beating around the bush and talk about the most common resolution people make.

Losing weight, eating healthier you know- that rabbit-hole. "Lose 20 pounds by drinking this tea from a weird plant you've never heard of!" "Lose 10 pounds in 30 minutes or your pizzas free!" "Lose... Your money" It's all basically just: Spongebob: -ALL RIGHT! GIVE ME THE MONEY! All those quick-fix weight-loss scams that make too good to be true claims are, just people who want your money. Sure, the scale says "Hey! Great job you lost seven pounds in a week!" But your body says "Yeah, but that was all just water weight, and also I don't feel very good." Or AAyuasytdyafwtsfetwsfewdwtdrecwrthdrfewchtewscwszxechzewRTHJQqcfawsh3fawsqcehtgwdcerhnscfqHNSYTZRSEHNT2QD2DCTX NJYCV6FREUWQVF6ET,KDUHCQ.

If you want change you've got to earn it through work. There isn't an easy way out. Making changes in your lifestyle need to be sustainable for, life. That's why they're called "Lifestyle Changes" Not "I'm gonna pay $200 for this diet shake, feel good for two weeks, lose 10 pounds! ...Start feeling bad.

And give up in a month." Changes "I'm gonna start working out more" "I'm gonna start going to the gym," let's be honest with ourselves here, that's a weak excuse for a resolution "I will go on a run every other morning," "I'll lift weights 3 to 5 days a week." Those are much easier to follow than, "I'll exercise more" *pSHH* get out of here with that vague crap. You don't even know what you mean by that. And don't be flaky and say "oh, I missed a week, oh I'm hopeless" *sad moan of grief* NOMNOMNOMNOMNOM. You're not gonna be perfect for a whole year.

Take a breath, chill and keep going. I'm saying that to myself just as much as I am to you. I've been trying to be more self-aware about when my brain just wants to turn one little mess-up into an excuse to stop something entirely. I'm getting better at slowly ending that habit.

I grew up doing a lot of sports. Soccer, Martial Arts, Tennis, Competitive Pokmon. I know my way around the gym. But I dropped it all my last year of high school to focus on Youtube and art.

I didn't care about what I ate and combined with not moving around much I started feeling pretty crummy. So I ended up turning to what most people do when they reach a similar problem *sighs* All right, here we go. *Upbeat hip-hop gym music plays* Let's talk about home exercise videos. Why are so many of them so...

Fake? The weird hip-hop music and the smiles that are a bit too wide it might just be the plastic surgery, but it all makes me feel uncomfortable. I get that instructors want to make exercise seem fun and all that but, ehhhhhh it feels super condescending to me. How the FRIG do they do entire workouts smiling and talking and making cheesy eating pizza jokes? "All right now hold that squat -ooooh feel that burn in those quads!" "I'm smiling and articulating everything perfectly and I totally know you're panting like a dying animal over there! Don't think about that leftover pizza in the fridge!" *Giggles* -"Looking at YOU Brittany!" If you're looking for good home exercise programs, I'm gonna recommend this blog I've been following for a super long time called 'Fitness Blender.' Woah is that the sellout alarm?!?!? Is Jaiden finally selling out?? No, turn that thing off. I've never talked to Fitness Blender, they're not paying me to say this, They don't even know I exist.

*Groans of sadness* It's run by this nice couple (Daniel and Kelly) they're super down-to-earth and have a really healthy view on fitness and wellness. You can tell they know their stuff. All their exercise videos and tips are completely free, and if you want to use one of their written programs or meal plans, they're like 15 bucks. *GYM HIP-HOP INTENSIFIES* and they don't have that dumb music IN THE BACKGROUND OF THE VIDEO! If you're just starting out exercise it's gonna hurt and/or suck for a bit If it doesn't you aren't gonna see changes.

Well okay, don't murder yourself. Be smart about it. But your body is gonna complain for a while and that's good. There's plenty of activities you can do! Playing a sport with friends, walking your dog, a casual battle to the death -squats.

And respect your starting point. When I first started trying to get back into working out, I was just, *gasps of exhaustion* okay, alright, got through it. TV: -"Alright, we're done with our warm up grab a quick drink of water, and we'll get right into the workout!" But just stick through the beginning, because that's literally the hardest part. Raise your hand if you're sore! AHA trick question! You can't raise your arms.

They're jello. Don't forget that exercise is only a quarter of the health journey. What you eat is the biggest variable to all this life changing athlete hippy mumbo-jumbo. Eating right is like straight-up magic.

You feel amazing. It's the closest thing to drugs that isn't drugs. There's a difference between being thin, versus fit versus healthy kind of like Venn diagram style. Someone could be thin, but that doesn't mean they're at all healthy.

Someone could be super swollen, buff, but eat junk 24/7. And someone could be eating super healthy but not have the body of a supermodel. There's a healthy range of everything. I used to have a really bad relationship with eating.

I've talked about it before. In college I developed an eating disorder and a fear of eating food. And I would go like, an entire day eating almost nothing. "No Jadien!" *Slap* "you think that eating 600 calories a day is just gonna float you to all your hopes and dreams?" *M-hmm* "Nope.

It's just gonna give you headaches... And emotional breakdowns. You can trust me- I'm from the future~~~" "ALSO learn what bitcoin is and invest everything you can into it while you still can." I wish there was more information being taught on the dangers of eating disorders, Because if I knew about that whole mess 3 years ago, I would have been like "whoa!" Okay? Nevermind. Let's do a 180 here This ship is wack.

I'm getting out of here before it controls everything in my life." You can't abuse your body and expect anything good to come from it. Body: "Man I feel great! I could totally run a marathon and write an essay right now. I'm so energized and my brain is so clear!" "Thanks for feeding me LITERALLY ONE GRAPE." You don't go to the gas station, pour a cup of gas into your car, and then try to drive to China. Eating less than your body needs to physically survive accomplishes nothing.

It might seem like it's working in the moment but honey, you've got a big storm coming. Please try to end it as soon as you can. I'm not at all trying to shame anyone going through rough times with their self-image. I know it's a really hard thing to fight against.

I was pretty far gone when I was struggling. And even though I'm in a much better place now, I do still have bad days. What helps me is trying to separate logical thoughts from the bad ones that fueled the irrational fears. They're not here to see you succeed.

They're just the dumb brain versions of those tv and email scams where they're like "Hey! Give me your credit card info, social security number, and mother's maiden name and I'll give you a million dollars!" "I won't literally destroy your life, I'm just your friendly neighborhood Nigerian prince!" It's all more simple than you think. Eat healthy when you can, fresh fruit, vegetables, whole foods, and it's okay to treat yourself every once in a while. Don't say: "I'm never eating sugar for the rest of my life!" You're setting yourself up for failure there. And end up pulling a James.

Exercise as much as little as you're ready for, and be mindful and respectful about how your body feels. Little changes go a long way. Remember you're doing this for you. And don't play that dumb hip-hop music while you work out (music intensifies) or I SWEAR TO HERCULES I'm gonna RUN someone over with an exercise bike! Hey! It's been a while! Sorry.

Anyway I don't know if you've seen yet, but the finebros made a reaction video on me. I've already seen it and had a reaction, but I don't think i'll be making a I react To people react to me thing. I know a lot of people wanted me to do that. I enjoyed the video.

They said some nice things I hope you see it, and thanks to the finebros for thinking I'm someone worth reacting to. *Pshhh* This video took a bit longer to get done, this year's actually gonna be pretty busy, and we got some special things in the works for you in the future. I'm really trying to up the quality of videos, and not die in the process. I used to be super strict on uploading every two weeks, but it's really not sustainable for my mental health, or my health in general.

So the videos will just be done when they're done. But I care more about the quality of videos than a certain schedule, so yeah. Also I hope you liked the video. Stick to your resolutions, keep working towards the person you want to become, and take care of yourself.

I'm working on all of that stuff too. Okay bye!.

Trump Attacks Michael Cohen After Cohen Questions Trumps Fitness To Be President

So by now, everybody knows that on Friday,
tapes basically were released of Donald Trump and Michael Cohen discussing a payoff to former
Playboy playmate Karen McDougal. Now, Michael Cohen recorded that conversation. It was submitted in the upcoming trial that
he's facing. His team had marked it as privileged content.

Now, all of that is important. Now, there's more to that story. But I have to interject with what Donald Trump
did this weekend. Donald Trump woke up early Saturday morning
more pissed off than usual and he took to Twitter, which started about a three-day Twitter
rage that still continues to this very moment.

But he tweeted out the following here, he
said: "Inconceivable that the government would break
into a lawyer's office early in the morning, almost unheard of! Even more inconceivable that a lawyer would
tape a client. Totally unheard of and perhaps illegal." The good news is that your favorite president
did nothing wrong. Now, forget the fact that yeah, it's totally
legal and completely heard of for the FBI. To raid somebody's office, but let's go to
the part about Cohen here, the even more inconceivable that a lawyer would tape a client, totally
unheard of and perhaps illegal.

It's actually not illegal. In the state of New York, as long as one party
knows that they are recording, they do not have to alert the other party. Seems odd, but that's the law. So, Cohen was acting under full protection
of the law by doing this.

But Donald Trump is out there raging about
Cohen doing something potentially illegal. And I don't think Donald Trump understands
this, but when there's basically one guy who knows every dirty thing that you've done for
the last 25 years, probably not a good idea to accuse that person of doing something illegal. Because as we all know, Michael Cohen right
now is currently debating whether or not to flip on Donald Trump and if Trump thinks the
best course of action is to attack this man on Twitter, then I can promise you the only
person this is going to end badly for is Donald Trump himself. But I think there's more to it.

Because on Friday, a report from Axios came
out saying that Michael Cohen, amongst his friends and in private, was questioning whether
or not Donald Trump was even fit to be the president of the United States. He also, earlier in the week, had given an
interview where he spoke with George Stephanopoulos, and said that his loyalty, Cohen's loyalty
is to his country. Which was a strong implication that Donald
Trump was not loyal to America following his meeting with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki. So Trump had many reasons to be unhappy with
Michael Cohen, and this whole drama is only going to get worse.

As I mentioned, there's a little bit more
to the story about why Trump's outrage here is phony. We're gonna cover that a little bit later
today. But nonetheless, Trump needs to understand
Michael Cohen is probably one of the few people in this country that knows for certain whether
or not Donald Trump has broken the law at any point in the last 30 years. And he is the one who right now is having
to make the very tough decision about whether or not to take those secrets with him to the
grave, or hand them over to prosecutors and end this disaster of a presidency..

The Dark Side Of Fitness Social Media

Whats up, guys? Sean Nalewanyj, www.SeanNal.Com and I was
actually planning on covering a different video topic today but I just saw a comment
that was left on one of my recent videos where I was talking about bodyfat percentages for
men and I decided to make this video here instead. And the comment says, Thanks for the video
Sean. Great content. Im currently going through a lot of issues
with body dysmorphia and my girlfriend is constantly yelling at me because I call myself
fat all the time.

Our schools athletic room calipers me around
ten to eleven percent. I think that maybe a bit low. The thing is I truly believe I am fat. Unfortunately a result of fitness media.

I see it with my friends too. We simply compare ourselves to fitness role
models, its hard to deal with. So, this is a tough one. Its actually a very common issue to different
degrees even for people who dont realize its happening to them.

And I think that anybody who really gets into
training for aesthetic purposes has probably struggled with this at one time or another. I know that I have, not so much anymore, though
were all influenced by this to a certain extent but definitely in my first couple of
years of training when I saw myself as being too skinny and I wanted to look like a bodybuilder. And even though Ive put on a pretty significant
amount of muscle I still have that feeling of just not being big enough. And this was before Instagram, before facebook,
before YouTube, so nowadays its become an even larger problem.

Now, Im not an expert when it comes to
body image issues and if you have a legitimate struggle there thats causing you serious
anxiety and its affecting your day-to-day life and your health then you absolutely should
see a professional about it, but Im just going to give you my personal opinion on it
and a few tips. So the challenge with social media is this,
and some of this might sound a bit out there but bear with me because it is relevant. Human beings are evolutionary programmed to
be highly social animals and we are naturally wired to constantly compare ourselves to the
other human around us. Because throughout evolutionary history that
was a very useful thing to do in order to understand what was going on, probably fifty
to a hundred percent tribe you were living in and what your situation was relative to
the others.

So the drive to compare yourself with others
and to want to fit in is completely normal and everyone does it. Some do it a bit more, some do it a bit less
but everyone does it to a certain degree. Now, biologically the human brain hasnt
really change much in the last, probably a hundred thousand years or so because a biological
evolution is a very slow process. However, the actual world we live in has completely
changed from what it was throughout most of our history as a hunter-gatherers, particularly
in the last about a hundred years or so, and even to a huge degree in the last five to
ten years with the proliferation of the internet and of social media, and those changes can
make things really tough on our, sort of, ancient brain.

And thats because instead of living our
lives in the real world surrounded by a tribe of, maybe fifty to a hundred people, we now
live, still in the real world but in larger cities with way more people and were also
spending more and more time now in this digital world, which is inhabited by literally billions
of people and where the people who received the most attention and the most views are
naturally going to be the most extraordinary and the most exceptional out of everything
thats out there. And thats where the fitness industry can
become a real problem for some people. This extends way beyond the fitness industry,
by the way, but thats just what were talking about in this video. So the habits of proper training and proper
nutrition are meant to build self confidence and to improve how you feel about yourself,
but if allow yourself to get too deeply wrapped up in it, again depending on the person like
the subscriber who left the comment that Im responding to, depending on the person it
can start having the opposite effect because youre constantly being exposed only to
the very extreme end of the bell curve.

So even if youre not consciously aware
of it seeing image after image after image of the absolute, most aesthetic physiques
literally in the world it rewires your perception of things to where you started thinking that
thats the norm, that these are the people who are in your circle who you should be competing
with and then all you can think about is your physique relative to theirs. When in reality the vast overwhelming majority
of the population actually exist somewhere around the middle of the bell curve ranging
from a bit below average to a bit above average and only a tiny fraction exist on that very
far end. But again, because social media platforms
like Instagram, facebook, YouTube, et cetera, show people the things that they are most
drawn to, which is that extreme upper percentile, thats what you see over and over again. And you end up with a completely skewed idea
of whats actually going on.

But it gets even harder than that and I dont
want to keep repeating myself because I just talked about this last week, but a lot of
what youre seeing, especially when it comes to still images, isnt even real. In the sense that those people dont actually
look like that in real life, you know, filters, lighting, oil, pumps, tanning, photo angles,
a lot of that stuff is usually optimized to make the very best picture possible. Youre also usually looking at people with
particularly good genetics for gaining muscle and staying lean, and then if that wasnt
enough a lot of the people you see who claimed to be natural arent actually natural and
they are using drugs, which makes a massive difference to the results that can be achieved. And then if that wasnt enough, some of
these photos are literally altered using Photoshops.

So what youre looking at technically isnt
even a real person and so its no wonder why, you know, scrolling through your Instagram
feed where youre subscribed to a hundred different fitness models is making you feel
shitty about yourself. The reality is that if you train hard and
properly on a consistent basis and you eat a relatively unprocessed nutrient rich diet,
you have some decent visible muscle development and you have bodyfat levels somewhere around
the middle to slightly lower end of what would be considered the healthy range, then youre
going to be physically stronger and in better shape than at least ninety-five percent of
the population just from that alone. Its unfortunate that people can put in
the work to get to that position and then still feel insecure and unconfident with how
they look because they are comparing themselves to those who are in the top ninety-nine point
nine, nine percent, or to people who literally dont even exist in real life. So, in terms of practical advice on this,
again, Im not an expert but Ill just give you a few thoughts.

So first off, if you are really into body
building and fitness and your goal is to build the absolute best physique you possibly can
because you enjoy it and youre passionate about it and watching videos and looking at
online pictures of other physiques motivates you and then inspires you and its not causing
you any distress then theres nothing wrong with that and by all means continue. This video is obviously not aimed at everyone
and if youre happy then just keep doing what youre doing. On the other hand, if this is something that
youre struggling with ad despite your consistent training, good nutrition, carrying some decent
muscle mass if thats your goal and being at a healthy bodyfat level, if despite all
of that youre finding that this constant comparison game that your brain is playing
is genuinely making you feel unhappy and constantly feeling insecure then there are three things
that I would recommend. So the first is just basic awareness.

A lot of people who are newer to fitness literally
dont even realize the stuff that I was just talking about, in terms of how social
media pictures are optimized to look as good as possible for social media, how Photoshop
is often used, theres drug use and also that youre usually looking at people with
the very best genetics as well. So just being aware of that in and of itself
is really valuable and does go a long way. The second thing Id advise, and this is
a more practical tip, if deep down you feel that this stuff is stressing you out and its
making your life worst then stop looking at it. Its really as simple as that.

Just stop looking at it. Or more realistically make an effort to look
at it a lot less than you currently are. So stop sitting there endlessly scrolling
through your Instagram and our facebook feed, stop watching YouTube video after video after
video of all this people flexing on camera and [Indiscernible] and squatting six hundred
pounds. Again, if that stuff is motivating to you
and you enjoy it then fine but ultimately for a lot of people I think it ends up being
a big time sink in the long run and it shouldnt be necessary for motivation anyway because
if youre in this for the long term you have to be able to draw your motivation from
within.

If you have to watch someone else lifting
in order to derive the motivation to get yourself into the gym thats eventually going to
run out and youre going to have some real problems. But bottom line if this is becoming a problem
for you, if youre eleven percent bodyfat and you feel fat or youre a natural lifter
with sixteen inch arms and you feel small, the best advice I could give, and something
that I did and I continue to do myself, is start directing a greater portion of your
attention away from the digital world and more into the real everyday world. Because living in the real everyday world
is going to give you a way, way more accurate picture of whats actually going on. So take your head out of your phone and start
walking around and observing real everyday people because the digital fitness world and
all these digital fitness people youve absorbed your mind into are not an accurate
representation of the real world that you actually inhabit on a day-to-day basis.

And you need to readjust your perception to
understand that to the average person who doesnt even exercise regularly, because
most people dont, relative to them you do have an amazing physique already if you
are in pretty good shape as is. Now, Im not saying dont continue pushing
for higher goals if you truly want to and its coming from a place of genuine excitement,
and Im not trying to glorify mediocrity either but at the end of the day we do this
because we want to feel good, we want to feel confident, we want to feel good about ourselves
and if youre struggling with body image issues and your metric for success is to look
like the fitness model in your Instagram feed, for most people that is a dangerous road to
go down and you are ultimately playing a game that you most likely cant win. So try cutting back on your social media use
and see how that feels. Try using fitness pages and channels mainly
for informational purposes rather than just staring at physique after physique after physique
for the hell of it.

Subscribe to fewer people, use your social
media apps less often or even go to the extreme for a period of time and just stop looking
altogether and see what happens. And then from there, again, direct your attention
and your focus into the real everyday world and onto real everyday people. It might not be a solution to the problem
but I really cant see any possible way that it wouldnt at least help. Now, this video is getting bit long, so Ill
make this quick but the final tip Id give to learn to enjoy training and nutrition for
how it would makes you feel rather than just for the way that it changes your appearance.

In my case, for my first few years of training,
literally the only purpose I saw for working out was in terms of how many inches of muscle
it was going to put on to my body. And when I started to enjoy the process itself
and enjoy working out just for working out itself because it feels good to be physically
active and because of the effect that it had on my mood and my wellbeing that really was
a game changer for me. Now, not always but most of the time I genuinely
look forward to go into the gym. And Id derived just as much satisfaction
from how it makes me feel as I do from how it makes me look.

And that sort of diffuses my focus between
the two and I become a lot less preoccupied and less obsessive about my aesthetics compare
to everyone else is. So thats all I wanted to say on that, guys. I hope it was helpful. Feel free to share your thoughts on this in
the comments below.

The Current State of Fitness Entrepreneurs

- I think everybody defaults
into what comes easy to them. Greatness comes from adversity
and looking the challenge in the eye and having the
intestinal fortitude to step up and go after it. But it's just making
every fucking minute count. Every minute has to count.

Every minute has to count if you
want so much because you just don't have as many
of them as you think. You just don't. I think it's easy for you
fitness entrepreneur to do the push-ups, to do the squats,
to do the deadlifts because that's how you got here. You started fitness now you want
to make some money by having those guns or that ass, right? And so, I think you default into what's easy without
recognizing what's hard.

It was hard for me
these over these last 16 months to get
into better shape. It was easy for me to
build $50 million businesses. Just the truth. I know how hard the last 16
months of waking up every day, not eating everything I wanted and by doing
the work was for me.

That's the same thing
that's going on in the fitness entrepreneur, fitness
wantrepreneur space is of course you're spending more time to
work out sessions because you want to pass on
replying to everybody. You want to pass off,
you know, the marketing. You want to pass on
doing every podcast. You want to pass off the
creative on Instagram that will get you business versus the
vanity of getting a bunch of likes 'cause you look good.

So you want to pass
off all that other stuff. The same way that I wanted to
pass off getting up, running, working out, lifting,
squatting, stretching. I didn't want to it. - Three, two, two, one, good.

- Ah! Fuck! But I could work 18 hours a day. You're just the reverse of me. One reason I talk about not
having the perfect selfie, the perfect lighting in a world
where that's what you're selling is to show
vulnerability and authenticity. I think if you're gonna have
80 pictures of you looking phenomenal, if I looked as good
as all of you and had all those phenomenal photos, I'd be
waiting for the day that I had a huge god damn zit on my forehead
and took a picture of that because showing that real.

Look at how much real is in
your feed versus how much fake. A lot more fake. A lot more perfect lighting,
a lot more oiled up. Where's the real? Show me the real.
Show me the real.

That's what's gonna resonate and so I think
you need some balance. Everything one way isn't enough. Create a little cadence
to having some offsetting characteristics
that make you way more approachable
than the alternative. I get 8,000 emails a year,
15,000 emails a year saying "Gary, I've been
doing it for nine months "and I don't see anything." I now have empathy for that because I'm doing the
same thing in working out.

I can see little results but if
you told me I was going to work out every day for 16
months and this is what I get, I'd feel good about it but
it's not exactly what I wanted. That's what you're going
through in your business. You've got to put in
the work day in and day out. I work 12, 15, 17, 18
hours a day every single day.

Right now, I'm filming this. My company's got
a party going on. Do you know what's
going on out there? Actually, you know what?
Come with me. Actually this is perfect, DRock.

Here's what's
going on out there. Right and I know the lighting
is not good so sorry DRock. But they're partying while I'm putting in
the work right now making this content. That is the point.

The point is that I'm putting
in the work while everybody else out there is
enjoying themselves. That's it. And so you
got to put in the work. You want muscles, you
gotta actually do the weight.

You've gotta
actually put in the work. You want a business,
there is no shortcut. So the progress you made
and you made over the last 5, 10, 12 years in your fitness
is exactly the same thing that's gonna happen in business.
There is no overnight success. There is no one year
you've done it well and now you have the
biggest business.

It's day in an day out. I've been an
entrepreneur since I was eight. I'm 40 now. That's 32 years of practice.

Now you've
decided to really do it, doesn't happen overnight. You got to put in the work..

Testing The Facial Fitness Pao

Are you ready to exercise your face? Let's talk about that.  (Theme music)  - Good Mythical Morning! -Remember there's a brand new sketch
called, "The Nose-Looker" over at the original
Rhett and Link Channel. - What are you looking at? - I'm looking at you. - Do I have a booger of something? -No.

- I can tell you are looking at my nose. - Well I'm looking at your face,
I mean your nose is right there in the middle of your face. - So you are looking at my nose. - Technically, yes.

Five sketches in October -Sketchtober-
Check it out! - Ech... Sketchtober check it out! -Mythical Beast, a question is an ant crawling along the sidewalk searching for answers. But, they don't find answers there on the ground. No.

They don't, cause those answers
can only be brought to life by the actual searing fiery photons
of the sun. So we take our giant, magnifying glass
and we shine that sunlight onto your question ant, then we focus the light until it burns through
your question exo-skeleton right down to your answer heart. That's right, Mythical Beast.
You had the answer all along inside yourselves.

- We asked you to ask us questions about shopping and--
(paused doubtfully) while the answers are already inside of you, we're going to burn them out of you?
- That's exactly right, Rhett. First question. Max askes,
"How to haggle people for lower prices?" - Well, Max. Great question.

I actually
have some personal experience that I think can help answer this question.
-Do you? - Um, recently, my wife was driving our two kids
along down the road when a spider came down - (Link) Beside her. - From the rear-view mirror.
- (Laughs) - Now, she did what any normal person would do, and instead of focusing on the driving focused on the spider. Meanwhile, the car decided to run into the back of a parked vehicle. - (Chuckles) The car? - A large electrical...

-- (Link) Great decision -like work truck, and totaled our SUV. - Yeah, basically like a tank I guess. - Yes. Ah, the kids thought it was really cool and nobody was hurt.

Locke and Shepherd kinda got out and they took a lot of pictures with Locke's phone and- - I saw these pictures and (pause) it was amazing. Was the spider hurt? - I think the spider still lives, I think he has completely webbed up the inside of that car in the junk yard or wherever it's at. But, the good thing about your wife totaling your car because of a spider is that you get some insurance money and you get a new carrr! So I took my insurance money to the car dealer and I was like, (sassily) I'm going to buy this car in cash,
it's gonna be impressive. I'm gonna come in here and I'm going to haggle.

Like I've never haggled before, cause I don't like to haggle, I don't like conflict, I'm from Buies Creek,
North Carolina. We don't like to do that kind of thing. But I said-- I was like, "Jessie, I'm going to get this car for a lower price and I'm going to stay here until it happens." So we saw a car, it was like 5 or 6 thousand dollars less... - (Link) And she said as long as here's no spiders involved.

- 5 Or 6 thousand dollars less than the blue book price that I looked up. So I was like, this is already a good deal. But, I went in there and I test drove it. We're like, yeah, this is awesome.

We went and go sit back down with the woman who has let us test drive and I was like, "I'm definitely interested in this car but you know what? I can't pay that price." "I mean I can't pay that." - You tell her that?
- Yeah, yeah. And she was like, "Well, that's as low as we're going to be able to go." And I was like, "But I can't pay that, you know I just, (stammering) I'm not going to be able to do that and she said... - Was that the tone you used because...
- (Link and crew laughing) -Well, just don't comment yet, okay? - Okay.
-So she says, "Well that's as low as we can go though, this is a really good deal. I think you know that, that's as low as we can go." I said, "I can't pay that, I'm gonna have to talk to someone above you."
- OHHSH.

Escalation. -So then this dude comes down and sits down and I'm like, "I'm interested in the car that we just test drove and eh... But you know what, I'm not gonna be able to pay that price. And he said..." - That was your line.

- He said, "Eh, well, you're not going to be able to go any lower than that."
I was like, "That's what she said"
- (laughing) - And eh... So this continued for about 20 minutes and eh... - (Mimicking Rhett) I'm just not gonna be able to pay that price. I just can't pay it.

- Well the long story is um, I paid that price.
- (Link laughing thoroughly) - I paid the price that was in the window of the car that I test drove. - Aw, wow. What could you have done with that, like 20 minutes of your life instead of repeating the same... - And Jessie later was like, " I've never seen you behave like this before."
I was like, "I was trying my hardest!"
- (Laughing) - I paid the price that was in the...

- You paid the price. Rhett the haggler. But the question is how to haggle people for lower prices. -Oh, I have no idea.

(Stammering) I mean I don't know, don't ask me.
- (Crew laughing) - You know me, I pay the price on the window. - Rhett pays the price.
- Next question, from Zachary Jarrells, "Is there a product I can buy to make me better looking? Like, a new body?" - Good question, Zach. First of all, don't worry about your body, just get your face right. Now, we have found a product.

An amazing product, that I believe it to be very effective. You can use it within the comfort of your own home. And according to the ad, it would totally change the way your face looks. - It's...
- Ladies and Gentlemen -(Rhett) It's time for another weird product you must have.

- We'd like to introduce you to the Facial Fitness Pao. A device that is designed to workout your facial (stutters) muscles.
- (Everyone laughing) - It's from Japan. Check out their official commercial here.

(Generic commercial music and Japanese commentatory)  - (Link) Ohhh, look at that, saggy face, firm face.
- (Rhett) Whoa. That wasn't done. - (Link) Tight face, slack face.

That's what they call it. - (Rhett) Ah, yes. That's not an effect, Link. - (Rhett) Waho!
- (Link) There she is.

- (Rhett) Are you sure it's not a flying device?
- (Crew laughing) - (Link) A focused 30 second workout for the muscles around the mouth. - (Rhett mimics commercial voice over) Pao! - (Link) The woman on the left looks... - (Rhett) Look at the transformation. - (Link) Training is easy.

Just start nodding. - (Rhett) Yes, yes. This is working.
- (Link) Yes, yes. I agree with everything.

- (Rhett) I am going to fly.
- (Link laughing) - (Rhett) She look very agreeable. Yes. - For the world's best smile.

And guys, we have one right here, ladies and gentlemen. Boooom
- Hey heyyyy! - The Fitness Pao 7. I'm gonna do it, oh no, I'm going to do it this way. Woooo
- That means there are 6 other of these, - Look at this thing.

- It's kind of scary.
- Alright, check this out dude. It comes with, like different colourizers here. - Those are probably different weights, like weights do.
- They're supposed to be different weight but, Chase told me that they all weight about the same. I've not tried it yet.

And I hope... It's been sanitized?
- (Crew giggles) - Yes. - They're nodding yes
but it's meaningless. - Alright, so I'm going to give this thing a whirl, or a flap I guess you would call it.

- Yeah, don't whirl it. You never know what's going to happen.
- Look at that. - (Rhett) Go for it, Link.
- (Crew laughing) - (Rhett) Hey Link, is that thing cool? - (Rhett) Hey Link, you're having a good time over there? - (Link grunts in agreement) Mmm-hm - Do you feel like your facial muscles are getting worked out? - I'm getting--I'm getting a-- look I'm getting an fan...
- (Link continues to grunt in agreement) Mmm-hm - I'm getting a little breeze over here.

I like that, right in the ear. I got a little ear breeze. - Oh gosh!
- (Link and crew laughing) - Sorry, don't get too close to it. - I didn't get close to you, you got close to me.

- (Link and crew laughing)
- Oh don't get too close to it! - Whip you into shape, man. - Okay. It looks like you're having a lot of fun with that. - (Link) Mmm-hm.

- Eh, but you know this thing cost-- it was a hundred dollars?
- (Link) Mmm-hm. - A hundred dollars. So instead of getting another one so we could both fly away together. - I have sort of the poor man's version of this.

- (Crew chuckling and Link laughing) - Yes, those are hot dogs. Foot long hot dogs. - (Link) Is it gonna work? - (Crew laughing loudly, Rhett and Link chuckling) - (Link) Wow, I mean, we just saved you guys a ton of money.
- That is great, I mean I'm doing exactly the same thing.
- Yeah, and you get lunch out of it too.
- But I can eat a little bit of hot dog. - (Laughing) Now, um I've had this thing for about a week.

And em, I'm surprised I haven't seen it in the comments, that I really think that this thing is been working. Um, I just want to show you a before picture from just a week ago of me, before I started using the Fitness Facial Pao. - (Link) It's not noticeably different...
- (Rhett) Wow.

I never noticed that you look like that. - (Link) Right. I have a saggier face.
- (Rhett) But now that I see it, I remember that is what you look like. - It was just slightly saggier.
- (Crew laughing) - And this, you may not remember but this is me before.

- (Link) Before you started using a hot dog flapper?
- (Rhett) Yeah, I've been using this all week. Now, you gotta keep the weight balance so you took a bite out of the left dog,
you gotta take a bite out of the right dog. - (Link) Right, because if it is gets out of balance then the right side of your face will be... - Then you just go right back in.

- (Link) it will be all messed up. - (Crew chuckles) - And the dogs won't come off, like I can't get these dogs to fly off no matter what I do. - I'm gonna head bang and these dogs will stay on. --Oh
- (crew laughing) - (Link) Oh! You lost your dog.

- I'm sorry, I think it's because I took a..., You know what, an abnormal bite. - See if you can get that one to come off. - (Laughing) Head banging. Wow, she's going in a circle.

- (Link) Come on man. Work it! Rep it up! Every rep of every set, Rhett! Come on! - Let's move on to another question.
- (Rhett) I think I gotta just whip it like this. - Hazel asks.
- Got it off. - Oh, man.

My teeth feels so much stronger now. How do I get the best deal when shopping? - Hmmm, well. The best way to get the best deal when shopping is you gotta do your research. And one of the best resources that we have found for internet research is watching--- - (both) unboxing videos.

- Yes. - Now, it's your neighbors, right? They came to you...
- Yeah. ...And said that they're starting their own YouTube channel?
- A couple, yeah. - I was out of the loop on this, but sometimes Rhett would come to me and be like, "Hey, you know, I was talking to my neighbors, they're starting their YouTube channel.

They ask us for a little favor." I'm like, "Why did you commit to promoting...
- I'm just a nice guy. I'm a nice guy ...Something before you talk to me?"
- Well don't throw them under the bus yet, I mean ...Basically they asked if they could get a little face time on Good Mythical Morning. So I said we would promote their channel. - Which doesn't have their faces.

- It doesn't, but here's their first unboxing video. - (Rhett as Brax) Hiya, this is Brax. I'd like to welcome you to the first ever installment of Thinking Outside of The Unbox. I've invited my life partner, Miri, to be a part of this process.

Hey babe.
- (Link as Miri) Hello. Let go of my hand, I wanna wave. - (Miri) Hello, this is Miri.
- (Brax) Okay. - (Brax) We have a very fun thing,
- (Miri) Ouuu - (Brax) We got a Kelloggs fun pack.

- Now, typically we would not eat this kind of cereal. We've been eating a sustainable organic sprouted quinoa balls cereal. And there was that one year when Miri went and spent a summer with Devin, um, her ex. And, you know, I think you're grew a lot and you didn't eat quinoa balls during that summer.

- (Miri) No. - (Miri) Let's open it. - (Brax) Alright yeah, well why don't you,
cause your fingernails, I think your fingernails will be helpful for that. If you can just get down one in there and make a little incision and then work your way through.

- (Miri) Here you go. - (Brax) And then we're just going to take it off and we're just going to gently let the boxes emerge. So as you can see, some of the information that is important, like the fact that Fruit Loops are a good source of--
- (Miri) Get a close up Brax. - (Brax) Hold up, can we just talk about Fruit Loops, just one at a time?
- (Miri) Show them a close up.

Show it CLOSE Brax. - (Brax) Yeah, but I think it starts to get hard to read that way, babe. I don't... You tell me, which one would you like to open first because...

- (Miri) Why do I have to make all the decisions Brax? - (Brax) Okay
- (Miri)You make a decision. - (Brax) Ehh, well I mean, how about Fruit Loops since
we've talked about it-- - (Miri) Frosted Flakes it is. - (Brax) Well first of all let's just, I... I really appreciate the straight lines on this, very mid-century modern feel...

- (Miri) Open the box Brax. ...And cartoon tiger. - (Miri) Knock, knock, knock Brax. The cereal want out.

- (Brax) And you're gonna just gentlyy... - (Miri) Just rip open the cereal box! I mean, good graciousness! And look, here's the cereal and then you take it out and you just pull it, you just pull it apart! Look at that. - (Brax) This isn't exactly how I would've done it on my own but this is a partnership so... - (Miri) Well fine, let's see how you would do it.

- (Brax) Okay, how about we open up the Pops, babe? - (Miri) Good idea. - (Brax) Pops always reminds me of my mom. - (Miri) Open the Pops, just pull the flap. - (Brax) Just just, it's like, I'm having a difficult time getting my fingernail under there cause it's just...
- (Miri) Good gracious, just use one of these knives here and...
- (Brax) Why do you have that? - (Brax) Oh, oh, OHHH!!! Babe!
- (Miri) Oh! Good gracious! - (Brax) Um, I think I've stopped most of the bleeding but, I'm feeling a little light headed, so Miri why don't you.

Take things from here. - (Loud drilling sounds) - (Brax) I think I'm going to drive myself to the hospital,
unless you want to. - (Miri) No. - (Miri) This has been, unboxing with Miri.

- Brax and Miri, we want to wish you the best in starting your unboxing YouTube series. You're off to a great start. - And we wanna to thank you. For liking, commenting and subscribing.

- You know what time it is. - Hi, we're at the Farallon Islands and it's time to spin The Wheel of Mythicality. -Remember to watch the latest sketch on our Rhett and Link Channel. It's called "The Nose-Looker," we think you will like it.

- Make sure you watch it all the way to the end. Also click through to Good Mythical More where
we open your mail and find out what this is. - Good Cop/ Bad Cop: Turtle Smuggler.  (Siren sounds)  - So.

I know what's up with you and the turtles. I can smell it all over ya. - Hey, so I hear you like turtles, I'm kinda into them too. - You smell like turtle.

You smell like ILLEGAL turtles. COME CLEAN!
- So... You like them for pets? Or do you eat them? Oh I hope you don't eat them. You don't eat them do you? No you like them for pets like I do.

- You know what, we can do a deal right now and you won't get the chair. - (Crew laughing) - We should. Me and you should go turtle shopping. -That's it.

The chair, here it comes. [Captioned by Angela: GMM Captioning Team].

Suunto 3 Fitness - How to calibrate speed and distance measurement

Suunto 3 Fitness can track your speed and
distance while you are running and walking based on your wrist movement. For it to be accurate, you need to
teach your watch how to run and walk. In other words, you need to calibrate it. You will need: Your Suunto 3 Fitness and your phone with Suunto app installed.

The easiest way to calibrate your watch is to record your
first running and walking exercises with connected GPS. To use the connected GPS, simply open the Suunto app
and make sure your watch is paired with the app. Now scroll up to Exercise and choose Running or Walking. Both exercises need to be calibrated separately because
your stride lenght is different between running and walking.

Once the GPS arrow turns green,
your watch is connected to your phone. Now, enjoy your run - and keep
your phone with you on the move. Run or walk for at least 15 min at your
normal speed and try to keep the pace steady. The calibration is done automatically in the background.

After your run, simply end the exercise. Your watch is now calibrated. To get great calibration results,
repeat the process several times. Then you're all set to exercise without connected GPS.

And that was it. Another way to calibrate your watch is by manually
adjusting the recorded distance after your run or walk. Start a Running or Walking exercise. The key for this way of calibration is that you
know the exact distance you were running or walking and that you exercise at least for
15 min at a normal, steady pace.

Once you finished your training, end the exercise. Great! Scroll through the exercise summary to distance and calibrate the watch by adding
the actual distance you ran or walked. Your watch is now calibrated. The more often you repeat the calibration process, the more accurate speed and distance will be..
